DMC Tuning Releases Ferrari 458 Spider “Elegante” Tuning Project
DMC Tuning has always been one of our favorite companies that takes the daunting task of redefining world’s most famous sports and luxury cars. We wrote about their take on the Lamborghini Aventador a few days ago and we already have another view of their custom creations for yet another amazing car – a Ferrari 458 Italia Spider which they’ve dubbed the name “Elegante”.
It’s fair to say after the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta work they’ve did, DMC Tuning is really one of the few companies we can call capable of tuning such exotic cars. By that we definitely mean they don’t go overboard, they don’t push it too far and all of their builds so far have shown class, craftsmanship and attention to detail in the best of ways. This is thus continued with their next build and we’re kinda excited to see a Spider at their hands.
We will start this with the body kit. What DMC Tuning calls “A massive improvement upon the OEM look” this kit will certainly satisfy the hunger for exciting new mods for a car like the Ferrari 458 Italia Spider in every way. A complete and perfected new look, consisting of a full aerodynamic package. The front features a prominent new lip splitter, which not only extends the car, but also improves the overall road stability.The front hood is completely replaced with an aggressive vented version, the extended side skirts not only add to a better road stability by using a pair of diffuser plates, but also stand out with flaps that match the ones that are also found on the front splitter. The trunk receives a blade wing, which was designed to suit aerodynamic flow on top as well as under it. Carbon Fiber mirrors, front wings, rear diffusers and fog light covers add the exclusive touch that we know from the High-End refiner.
After the major look change, DMC Tuning gave this vehicle a boost in the power department as well. They have developed a performance package pushing this Ferrari 458 Italia Spider to 608PS mark, an upgrade over the stock 570PS anyone will notice. With this tuning package they have also upgraded the peak torque which is now 568Nm. All of the new power is achieved thanks to a remapped engine management system which is now optimized for new ignition and injection data while their stainless steel exhaust system aids to the overall power levels and makes an exciting sound scene. Rumble out of that exhaust system out the back will make any petrolhead happy in all ways.
Finishing the build, DMC Tuning installed a set of forged rims and sport springs. Wheels are sized 21″ at the front and 22″ at the rear, aiding to overall performance number thanks to its forged construction, even as they are larger than OEM wheels installed on this vehicle.
