Beautiful Red Ferrari 488 Pista On HRE Wheels By Wheels Boutique
Rosso Corsa Ferrari 488 Pista with a set of lightweight custom-made HRE P107SC forged monoblock wheels
In the recent decade, for anyone that needed to have their aftermarket tuning needs to be quenched, going to Wheels Boutique was always a great idea. This Miami powerhouse brought into the world some of the most epic builds in recent times. And now, the company is back with a beautiful Rosso Corsa Ferrari 488 Pista. Yes, one of the most compelling models from Maranello in the last few years.
The Ferrari 488 Pista is powered by the most powerful V8 engine in the Maranello marque’s history and is the company’s special series high-performance car with the highest level of technological transfer from racing seen to date. Even its name, meaning ‘track’ in Italian, was chosen by the carmaker specifically to testify their unwithering heritage in motorsports. Technically, the Ferrari 488 Pista encompasses all of the experience built upon the world’s circuits by the 488 Challenge and the 488 GTE thus making it one of the best track-oriented, albeit street-legal, automobiles out there.
The Ferrari 488 Pista is powered by 3.9 liter V8 engine, delivering 710 horsepower (or 720 cv – if you want to go with the more unusual measurement system) and 770 Nm of torque – (10 Nm more than the 488 GTB). The powerful engine is mated to an F1 styled dual-clutch gearbox. In turn, the 488 Pista can accelerate from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in just 2.8 seconds and it will continue all the way up to an electronically limited top speed in excess of 340km/h (211mph+). Furthermore, thanks to its massive carbon-ceramic brakes, the vehicle is able to deaccelerate from 100-0km/h (62-0mph) in just 29.5 meters. Talk about your organs hitting your ribcage in a nick of time, right? Overall, the Ferrari 488 Pista is a lightweight track monster than can legally be driven on the road. There’s no better way of putting it.
For some, this would be enough. However, for most people we run into in this aftermarket tuning world, keeping their cars stock – even if such impressive machines are in question – simply won’t cut it. Hence, the owner of this 488 Pista called Wheels Boutique for some aftermarket goodies. And in turn, even though if some may think that’s not possible, this high-performance beauty looks even more compelling after Wheels Boutique added a few simple touches.
This Rosso Corsa 488 Pista features a set of HRE P107SC custom-made forged monoblock wheels. For the P107SC, the American wheel maker started with the same philosophy of combining purposeful lightweight design with track-focused optimization used in their forged wheels. However, with this particular design, this was taken a bit further. HRE introduced additional aggressive design features like the purposeful I-Beam structures on all spoke sides and efficient lug bolt pockets. In turn, this allowed the wheel maker to achieve increased spoke stiffness while further reducing mass. To create a more dynamic design language on P1SC, they also gave particular attention to spoke intersection points and the outer lip surface. Finally, this resulted in one of the sleekest monoblock wheel designs out there.
For this build, these HRE P107SC wheels are sized 20×9 in the front and 21×13 in the rear. Furthermore, these monoblock forged wheels feature a Satin Black finish. Finally, the wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires, sized 245/35/20 in the front and 355/25/21 in the rear. However, that’s not where the changes end.
The final touch for this build is the set of Novitec Sport Springs and a complete iPE Titanium Exhaust w/ catless downpipes. In turn, this pushes the car lower to the ground and it gives it a slightly better stance, but also, the rumble coming out of the titanium exhaust pipes will make sure all of your neighbors know you’re coming home each evening.
